Sean Kingston is walking again following his horrific jet ski crash.
The hip-hop singer is now breathing on his own and is expected to recover fully.
Kingston's condition has been upgraded from critical to serious, a sign of his improvement.
In an statement his publicist Jopseph Carozza said Kingston walked this morning for the first time since the crash.
The 21-year-old was admitted to Florida's Ryder Trauma Center in a critical condition following the accident in Miami earlier this week.
Kingston and his female passenger Cassandra Sanchez were injured when their jet ski hit the Palm Island Bridge around 6pm on Sunday.
Cassandra has since spoken about how she told Kingston to slow down before he crashed.
Sanchez says her next recollection is waking up in the water in pain.
Friends on another jet ski rushed over to assist them and called for help, with a coastguard employee in a passing boat helping to save Kingston.
Jonathan Rivera grabbed hold of Kingston, recalling how he was 'puking up blood' and convulsing.
Recovering: Kingston can now communicate from his hospital bed with sign language and nods
Vega told RadarOnline that Sean had a severe gash to the neck and was conscious, but didn't appear to be bleeding from the head.
'[He was] extremely dazed and was in danger of drowning,' 34-year-old student Vega recalled.
Kingston rose to fame with his 2007 hit Beautiful Girls and was also featured on songs by artists including Justin Bieber.
His self-titled debut album sold over 1 million copies worldwide.
