Up to 45 people have been injured after a train smashed into a bumper as it pulled into a station in New Jersey this morning.
Several of the 90 passengers on board were taken from the Hoboken station on stretchers to nearby hospitals for treatment after the 8.30am crash.
Passengers were thrown into the air as the train collided with the abutment and screamed in the seconds after as carriage doors failed to open, leaving them trapped inside, witnesses said.

Rail services across the country have been on high alert all week since the U.S. mission in Pakistan which killed Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden.
Information about planned terror attacks retrieved from computers and documents found in Bin Laden's compound suggested Al Qaeda planned to derail a train on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.
Authorities are, however, treating the train crash in New Jersey as an accident, John Kelly, spokesman with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, said.
No passengers injured in the crash this morning have life-threatening injuries, it has been confirmed, but witnesses said the victims 'looked pretty shaken'.
