(04/04/11) GILGO BEACH - Suffolk County authorities have now discovered a total of eight sets of human remains between Gilgo Beach and Oak Beach, the victims of a suspected serial killer.
Suffolk County Police Commissioner Richard Dormer announced today that the remains of three more people had been found.

The bodies of five other people were found previously along the highway that leads to Jones Beach.

Investigators have searched more than 7 miles of dense undergrowth several times since the first discoveries. The most recent victims have not yet been identified.

The westbound side of Ocean Parkway will remain closed throughout the night.

Dormer says people who live in the communities impacted by the investigation can show their ID and be escorted by an officer back to their house.
