At the time of his [rip], the NYPD was running surveillance on Biggie for gun violations and possible destroys.

The night of the destroy, there were shots fired at the other side of the museum about 2 minutes before Biggie wasdestroyed. It is suspected that this was planned in order to distract police. Also, a fire alarm was set off inside of the museum and that could've been part of the plot.

Biggie wasdestroyed with 9mm Gecko rounds. These are manufactured in Europe and were only sold at 2 locations in the USA in 1997 (NJ and CA). LAPD officer and [rip] Row security guard David Mack (David Mack (police officer) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) had this ammo in his house, but it was never compared to the ammo thatdestroyed Biggie.

LAPD officer and [rip] Row security guard Kevin Gaines (Kevin Gaines (police officer) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) was[..]igned to a desk job early September 1996 but was put on special[..]ignment 9/5/96 - 9/21/96 and was seen in Vegas hanging out with Suge Knight and [rip] Row…

LAPD officer David Mack may have used the same tactics for communication and distractions that he used in another destroy....

"March 13 1997 2030 hours
Deputy: phoned detective and advised that he had received intelligence information that SouthSide Compton Crips were responsible for Biggie Smalls' destroy. The reason why he wasdestroyed was because Biggie owed money to them for providing security. The reference source was unavailable for fear of gang retaliation"

FBI gathered documents on a used, Blue 1996 Bentley coupe bought by Suave House Inc in Houston on 3/5/1997 and suspected that it could have been used as a getaway car for others involved in the destroy.

Witness testimony: Witness says he overheard 2Pac talking with other [rip] Row employees stating how the West Coast is his and if Biggie ever comes out to the West Coast he will be gunned down.

1996 Awards show: Witness testimony

2pac and several unknown males carrying guns jump out and approach Biggie. As they approach Biggie, gun carrying males are told by another unknown male not to shoot him. 2Pac told Biggie at this time to never come back to California or he would bedestroyed.

Immediately after the 2Pac destroy, Biggie wrote "Going Back to Cali" mocking 2Pac's destroy and his threat not to come back.

Another witness said that the car driven by the shooter had no license plate.

The shooter hesitated for a while before shooting, leading one witness to think Biggie was not the intended target.

Witness noticed another car on the sidewalk in the opposite direction Biggie left, so he thinks that it was staged so that there would be a shooter to cover either direction that they might leave in…This car, like the SS Impala used in the destroy, also had no license plate.
