Discos Loleatte Holloway Dies of Heart Attack at age 64

Disco singer Loleatta Holloway, best known for disco hits like “Hit and Run” and “Love Sensation”, died of a heart attack at the Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Chicago on Monday (March 21).

The 64 year-old started as a gospel singer before she got her big break when “Love Sensation” was featured on Marky Mark and The Funky Bunch’s hit 1991 single “Good Vibrations” (see video below).

Loleatta’s manager, Ron Richardson, described the singer as “a strong, feisty, but loving woman.” Loleatta is survived by four children and nine grandchildren.
