Here's a tip for aspiring rock stars: before you give a shout-out to the crowd, make sure you've nailed down where exactly you are.

It's advice Taylor Momsen should have taken, after the 17-year-old lead singer of The Pretty Reckless was booed in Scotland this weekend. The reason? Momsen attempted to get the crowd hyped with this bit of stage banter: "We are The Pretty Reckless and we have heard that Glasgow is the craziest crowd in all of England. Now we're counting on you to make that right." Glasgow, as Momsen quickly found out, is in Scotland -- not England.

According to a student speaking to the The Daily Record, " The noise from the crowd was deafening. People began to cheer as they presumed she was going to say Scotland, but when the penny dropped all you could hear was boos. It was right at the start of the gig and it took the shine off it. I was really looking forward to it, but after Taylor said that it just left a bad taste. She didn't even apologize."

Momsen took to Twitter after the show to placate the aggreived fans. She Tweeted: "Glasgow, I love you, I now HAVE to tour SCOTLAND (haha, sorry bout the slip up!)".Tweet
