Is DMX bi-polar?


DMX has been moved to the Arizona Department of Corrections Flamenco Mental Health Unit at Alhambra, prison officials told Billboard Wednesday.

The 40-year-old hip-hop star (real name Earl Simmons) was sentenced to a year in jail Dec. 16 after he pleaded guilty to violating the terms of his probation by using cocaine and getting kicked out of court-ordered rehab program. This is the 13th time Simmons has been incarcerated in connection with assault, weapons, drugs, or animal-cruelty arrests. At Simmons’ sentencing this month, Judge Christine Mulleneaux told the star that she believes he has “an undiagnosed mental condition,” possibly bi-polar disorder.

The performer was admitted to the mental health unit Dec. 20, but there is no word on when he is expected to be discharged.Tweet
