Scared silence fell on Regions Park on Saturday when Florida pitcher Brian Johnson fell to the ground.
Johnson was knocked out, on his back, motionless, arms and legs sprawled awkwardly as medical personnel sprinted from Florida’s dugout toward the mound.
It was one of those terrifying moments that can happen on a baseball field, and it occurred minutes into Georgia’s 4-3 win in the first of two games between the Bulldogs and Gators on Saturday at the SEC Tournament.
